Cindy Friedman Wins Democratic Nomination Press Release

Cindy Friedman won the Democratic nomination for state Senate in the June 27 special primary election to replace the late Senator Ken Donnelly in the Fourth Middlesex district seat.

In a brief statement posted to her Facebook page, Friedman said: “I am incredibly grateful to the voters in the 4th Middlesex for electing me as the Democratic nominee tonight. I congratulate Sean and Mary Ann for a positive, spirited campaign that gave us a chance to discuss important issues for the people of the district and the Commonwealth. There will be much more to say in the coming days about this campaign, especially about the amazing volunteers and supporters who made this possible, and the important work that lies ahead. I look forward to working with all of you.”

Friedman now moves on to the July 25 general election where she faces Green-Rainbow party candidate Ian Jackson.
