- Summary: This bill would update Chapter 19C, which governs the Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), with the appropriate person-first language, replacing “disabled person” with “person with a disability” each time it appears. - Summary: This bill would change the definition of intellectual disability to remove IQ limitations. This would allow those with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) to receive services from the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
